User profile canvas

Updated on Wednesday, July 26, 2023

For a single user, understand tasks, contexts, pains, gains, and goal or job-to-be-done.

Why to use? The User Profile Canvas helps teams focus on what the user is trying to do and understand the factors that hamper the experience, as well as the factors that make it better.

When to use? Explore tasks, contexts, and influencers like pains and gains at the beginning of a project as the team begins to align on their shared vision of the product.
